TIRE PRESSURE: It is usually necessary to add pressure when the weather gets colder. This is the time of the year when it is important to check tire pressure on your Spyder frequently. I was reminded recently by my friendly tech that Kenda tires lose pressure rapidly when the weather changes. My front Kenda tires on the F3 had lost 40% of their pressure in just over 2 weeks. In contrast the Federal Evo tires on the front of my RT have not lost a pound in a month.... Tires wear rapidly and corner poorly when under inflated so please keep on top of this. - H Mette
BUG OFF: Beetle Juice! Lovebug Juice! Peroxide will take care of all of it. It can be purchased for under $2 in a spray bottle. Spray on the front of your ride (windshield and helmet included), let is sit for a few minutes and when you wash her down, it all wipes right off. It doesn't hurt the paint or the windshield. Gary keeps a small spray bottle in the back of his bike with a cloth to clean windshields and helmets as needed. When the spray bottle is empty, simply refill it from a regular bottle which is less than $1. - J Carter
FOOT WEAR: Gary informed me that if I was going to have my own Spyder than I had to wear the proper foot gear. I was dreading this because I was assuming whatever I got would be very hot and sweaty. As some of you know, I am a Nurse so one day I was in a uniform store. This particular store had a wall full of foot wear for emergency medical professionals (Design Lab in Tavares/Eustis). These are designed to be light and breathable so I tried on several different brands until I found one I liked. A couple weeks later we ordered the correct size online since I like a wide shoe. I ended up with Under Armour Valsetz RTS tactical boots which are light weight, water resistant, and they BREATHE. I have had them 6 weeks and have not had hot and/or sweaty feet yet. As a bonus, they were less than $130. - J Carter
